ABOUT YOURSELF

Describe your personality in five adjectives: Chimerical, peculiar, thoughtful, sentimental, sardonic.
What are some good points?: Finding the right joke in a tense moment, being intuitive to others needs, reliability.
What are some bad points?: Temperamental, aggressive communicator.
What are some of your interests, hobbies, and talents?: Reading and writing, crocheting and sewing, baking and cooking, photography, traveling, classic film, music, history, mythology.
What's one thing you dislike?: Being told what to do.
Are you more unsocial or a social butterfly?: I'm an introvert with a rare social streak. It usually only shows up when I'm drinking.
What do you like to do (ex., on a Friday night)? What would your perfect day be like?: On a Friday night I'd ideally like to be at a concert or a movie, dinner, drinks and good conversation. My perfect day would be wandering in the city on a busy weekend, taking in the sights and sounds.
What are some of your goals in life?: To use creative means to change the world and how people view it. (Is it any surprise I'm a photojournalism major?)
Are there any political issues or causes you feel strongly about?: Preserving wildlife. Native American rights. Women's rights, particularly that of women in developing nations/in the sex trade. Countless others.
What are your favorite books?: Of Mice and Men, Autobiography of a Geisha, Spring Snow.
Your favorite music (bands or type)?: Rock/Alt, hip-hop, dance, doo-wop, blues, French folk.
Your favorite time period?:Starting from the Victorian era into the 1950s.
Your favorite clothing item?: My "little black dress".
Which is your favorite decade of the 20th century, fashion- or lifestyle-wise?: The 1920s, for certain.
Which cities would you most like to travel to?: Paris, Barcelona, Rome, Athens, Seoul, Tokyo, Osaka, NY.
Do you have any style icons or heroines?: Shapely stars, since I'm on the curvy side, and Clara Bow.
Who's your favorite person in the whole world? Why?: Just one person? I'll skip the sappy family answers and go with my best friend :)
What do you admire most about people?: Their creativity, optimism and a fighting spirit.

ABOUT THE SILVER SCREEN

What are your favorite movies?: That thing you do, Hook, House of flying daggers, Amelie, Fur: An imaginary portrait of Diane Arbus, The Dreamers, Edward Scissorhands.
Your favorite classic movies?: City Lights, Modern Times, Mr.Smith goes to Washington, It happened one night, Shop around the corner, Philadelphia story, Singin' in the rain, An American in Paris, On the town, The Thin Man series, Flower Drum Song, Roman Holiday, Funny Face, much more.
Who are your favorite actresses (from any period)?: Christina Ricci, Shannyn Sossamon, Myrna Loy, Jean Arthur, Elizabeth Arden, Hedy Lamarr.
Who are your favorite actors?: James Stewart, Charlie Chaplin, Clark Gable, Laurence Olivier, Gene Kelly, Frank Sinatra, Johnny Depp, Ethan Embry, Paul Bettany, Vincent D'Onofrio.
Do you think you would enjoy being in Hollywood?: Today? Not at all. In the past? Very possibly.
Would you be more of a recluse, an enigma, like Greta Garbo, or a flamboyant socialite, an open book, like Marion Davies?: I would be in-between, leaning slightly more to the reclusive side.
What do you like about past eras of Hollywood? (This can be as brief or elaborate as you like it.): I liked the sense of class and sophistication, and that not everyone lived out every gruesome detail of their life in public. There was such a thing as manners, good form, and at least some amount of respect for others and ones self. The films themselves were more intelligent, character driven, simplistic yet beautiful, and clever as opposed to raunchy.
What's a quote that you like by an actor?:
"I do not have much patience with a thing of beauty that must be explained to be understood. If it does need additional interpretation by someone other than the creator, then I question whether it has fulfilled its purpose." - Charlie Chaplin

How about a quote ABOUT an actor or actress?: "Interviewing Bette Davis...is the nearest I came to dying of Fright" - Jean Rook.
